You miss the way he threw you up into the air as a child,  and as you screamed and giggled he caught you in his giant arms. You miss the way she always had fresh cookies on the stove, waiting for you. Maybe Mothers Day will never be the same since she's gone. There's always those special people in your life...the one's that leave the world too soon. You miss their laughs, their voice, their hugs. Eventually the smell will leave their old shirts and their belongings will find their way into attic. All you have left are the memories. 

But there's that old belt he always wore. And she loved that purse. Maybe your favorite horse, your best friend, is gone, but you still have their saddle or their collar. These objects can be something. They can mean something. The piece of leather that they wore so often or loved so dearly doesn't have to end up in a box in the attic. 

That's where the Belt Project started. A cuff was made out of an old belt of a dear loved one. And then another cuff was made. A small quote, bible verse, location coordinate, or any other word or saying can be etched onto the front. You can wear it everyday, and think of them.
